Learning to draw can sometimes feel like a daunting endeavour; with the huge array of styles and medium options out there it can be difficult to decide on what to focus on first.
If you have a keen interest in tattooing then I have the perfect starting point. I have spent some time creating a new series on my YouTube channel to help people learn how to draw tattoo specific designs to get you get started on your very own art journey.
In my first YouTube video of the series, I walk viewers through the step-by-step process of drawing a scorpion tattoo design.
So gather up your choice of materials whether it’s an iPad or sketch book and pencil. From here I start by showing you the shape of the scorpion’s body using basic shapes to create the overall form, and then I add in the details, such as the legs, claws, and stinger.
Throughout the video, I will show you each step on the left as I draw it in real time on the right. You can stop the video at any point and will still be able see the step you are drawing on the left before moving on to the next step. I want you to be able to take your time in learning each step.
By the end of the video, you should have a completed scorpion tattoo design, and have an understanding of the shapes and steps involved to draw a Scorpion. From here you will be able to experiment and create your own version in the future.
